give me moonlight when I'm leaving;

He thinks of his sisters often. Sometimes, when the grasses brush his knees, he is taken back to his familial home, if only in memory. Arroyo had many siblings. His father's herd had been much larger than most he has observed on the Islands. But his sisters... he thinks of their teasing him, nibbling at his fuzzy red baby mane and keeping him safe when his dam was up to other things. He wonders if they still live with the herd, or if they too had been run off, or felt that pull to start something new of their own.

He remembers the shiver that ran up his legs when he entered the sea - the sadness of leaving his family, and the excitement of finding someplace new. The sea salt smell of the mare before him reminds him of his own baptism - that washing away of his childhood that day he had chosen to come here to the Islands.

"Aventuras," he repeats, the corner of his lip tugging into a crooked grin as she tells him that the moonlight suits him. He looks to the moon and then back to her. "How nice of the moonlight to come down to visit me." He winks, and then laughs at himself.

"I'm bad at this," he says with a shake of his head, smiling stupidly. "I'm Arroyo, care to dance?" he asks with a quirk of his brow.
