I don't perceive any Kansas City station is going to change their format for the time being. There has been an unusual stability over the last several years that wasn't there when I was growing up 30 years ago. Other than going to chr dance format (93.5 FM from Miami, FL is a good example of such a station) I don't know of any other format that a station could can convert to in the Kansas City area that would make it format change worthwhile.
