Best to give me your loyalty

'Cause I'm taking the world you'll see
They'll be calling me royalty

Her power was waning with this pregnancy. She did not feel like the powerful Princess she once was despite her young age. She should have many strong days ahead, but at this point she didn’t see them. Before that last battle for the Inlet, she had felt invincible. Ever since nothing was the same. She nearly lost her life that day, Rinnuroch along with her, and now she was losing fights left and right. Parvati wasn’t sure if her body had just never healed right after that fight or if every birth was taking something from her. But she loved her children so much. Bringing new life into this world was everything to her. Seeing the look on their father’s faces, seeing their bright little eyes look up at her, and feeling the love that brought with them. Not to mention how each child looked so different than the last. She wouldn’t stop having them, but if she kept on it might mean the end of her keeping the Inlet.

Understanding this pain made the words she said to her mother all the more terrible. “I’m sorry momma,” she whispers softly to the wind as she trails the pebbled beach. Her eyes close and her nose takes in the gentle breeze that signals that change of the season. Spring was upon them. Though the snow still sets heavy on Tinuvel, babies would soon be born in her father’s kingdom. It made Parvati a bit upset that only her foals made up the children in the Inlet. She wished there could have been more foals for her own to play with. I guess that was the curse of her own ambitions. Wanting a herd full of males instead of mares.

Devi…how could she have lost her? Parvati opens her eyes as she stops to turn towards the unforgiving sea. She longs for her eldest’s return. She has always fought to keep Devi happy and to give the girl what she deserved. Her father’s devotion…she chased all of them she could find down just to give them a piece of her mind. Devi repaid her love with her own devotion. It was only because of Devi that she found some strength to survive those wounds. Devi had brought Orphiel back to her. She had to find the strength to save her daughter. Determination fills the mare as she stands tall above the gentle waves creeping up towards her front hooves. The Desert mare would pay!
