CHARITABLE ADVERTISING on Web Site There are many worthwhile charitable causes in existence, but we can only accept sponsorship or fundraising efforts on Fusilier Association websites, that specifically support approved Fusilier charities. This essentially means that it is acceptable to use these pages to seek sponsorship for The Fusiliers Aid Society (which includes Fallen Fusiliers), and The Fusilier Memorial fund only. We now have our own dedicated justgiving site (http://www.justgiving.com/fusiliersaidsociety), which you can use to help raise money for your cause. If you let RHQ (Asst Regt Sec) know the specific cause you are raising money for, it will be directed to the correct fund. Messages soliciting sponsorship for causes or charities other than the Fusilier ones mentioned above should not be placed on the message board and may be removed by the Webmaster.

Hi Maurice, I have to be really careful with what I write about Moggi & Somalia & Somaliland
There's alot going on in the Country and our Most Outstanding Soldiers are involved in it.
The Yanks of whom I greatly admire most of the time had 600 SF inside Somalia & Somaliland but pulled them out. alShabab (brotherhood in arabic) run rings round them, Trump did it he Pulled them Out, Obama put them in. The Iranian SF are involved out there.
With our Outstanding Soldiers they only use Brit Units for protection & cover: To, During and After their OPs. Between alShabab, AlQuida, Hamas, Fata + Syrian SF + Rusian Spetznaz Trainers, they cant get near our UK Boys. Their the Best of the Best and so are their Protectors you have to guess what units they are. It's a hard place to be as you know from your time there.
I was moving around doing me Loggo & Inspection stuff ended up in a little out post with A.U.Soldiers(African Union) Protectors, got Mortered for a week, I was Straving Hungry by time I got out), normaly in Moggi and upcountry you get Mortered once or twice a week or Blown up once a month. I think the A.U. have pulled out now but the Iranians are in it for the Long Haul, all the Somalian + Somaliland (there's 2 Countries like say England & Wales at War) the Politicians of both sides think that Iran will hand over power to them once Iran gets what they want, (I'm not telling you what it is) but nothing could be further from the truth, whoever the Politician is, where ever from in Somalia or Somaliland they will Disappear off the Face of the Earth that's how much is at stake in Somalia for Iran Russia & China.
Also there are plenty of .303 rifles in all of Africa and the Middle East,the Tribesmen look after them well,some are like works of Art, the Tribesmen prefere them to the AK47/64 or the Belgian FN SLR.
Many rich African Farmers hire a Dozen or so Massi Warriers they all have .303 rifle and Spears most of them being about 7'6" they can well see over the Lion Grass' and see the Lions creeping up on the Cattle & Goats and they take action and kill them if the Lions Charge. Once in South Sudan I went for a run in a safe area near a U.N.Landing Strip after 10 mins running I was stopped by a Massi Warrier he pointed and indicated 100 yards away was an Adult Female Lion (I didn't see her but he could because he was so Tall) he told me, "Go back to the U.N.Camp quickly" I did almost bricking myself along the way. The U.N. had hired 5 of them because of the Threat of Lions towards International Visting Staff Members getting off the Planes on the Landing Strip.
The U.N.Flew these 5 Massi from Kenya Nairobi to Juba South Sudan and built a Porta Cabin near the RunWay for them plus Pay & Food his .303 & Spear were in very good Nick I.m pleased to say. I often went for a Dip in the Indian Ocean while I was there, just to say I.ve done it.
