Tennessee played 5 points yesterday in the early games. He won one of them on a barely outside Jeden carom. Obviously not en fuego, 1 for 5.
All of the other catches (10) he made in those games were in the range of the 9 to 11.5 lines. Suddenly EB produced an extremely short serve which required Tennessee to move up quickly from 12 to 8 and that tempted him to go for a big blast to cash in on the opportunity.
Everybody should understand that the harder you throw, the less your accuracy. In this case, in the excitement of the moment he went for too much, and paid the price when the shot went too high and fouled on the OH screen.
Seems very simple to me, and not much different from the thousands of other mishaps we've seen over the years.
