So sorry to read this. He was a great, great player. No doubt, one of the top-10 all-time.

I started watching him in '76 (Bridgeport). At the peak of his career, he and several others on the BPT roster had been blackballed in Florida following the '68 strike, but was able to return here in '76.

Following his playing days, he succeeded Fernando Orbea as Player Manager at Milford in '86, serving in that capacity until 2000 (just before closing).

My condolences to his family, friends and countless fans.

We will miss him, but we will keep our memories
