turn men into monsters Raid

Memory is vague, hazy, but Vadim sets out into the cold water nevertheless. He knows the time is nearing if she was indeed pregnant. How could she not be after the night they had spent together? But with the rush of hormones, and the overwhelming intimacy they had shared, Vadim can only hope that he is right. That the frigid island where she hailed from, would be where he found her. If not, where else would she be? Something nagged in the back of his mind of the salty, hot smell of Salem being on her skin. But that didn’t seem right… that wasn’t where she was from, was it?

When Vadim pulled himself up onto the cold shores of Tinuvel, he took a moment to view the sights. The brisk wind, even now when winter did not hold the cold island in it’s icy clutches, it sent a shiver down his spine. He had no desire to stay here. Already craving the warmth of the humid warmth of his birth home. Giving himself a good shake to rid himself of the sea water still dripping from his hide, he began to walk along the beach just out of the water’s grasp. His nostrils flared, drinking in the scents around him, doing his best to pick out her scent on the wind. But not once did he get even a hint of her; only the reek of other stallions, and even a lead mare.

When the scream pierced the silence that only the howling wind broke, Vadim startled, jumping in place. It made ever muscle in his body bunch, ready to fight or flee. Ears erect atop his head, he looked in the direction it had come from. Sprawled on the beach, he spied the familiar colors on the prone figure, but still could not catch her scent as the wind carried out to sea. What was she doing?! Picking up a trot, he approached as quickly yet cautiously as he could until he noticed her standing up and a lump still laying on the ground. It brought Vadim to a dead halt.

She had just….?!

Vadim swallowed hard and started a stiff legged walk closer. The stallion let out a low nicker, announcing himself if she hadn’t already noticed. “You did well.” he stated, trying to sound sure of himself. “But I think it’s time you both come with me…” Vadim was sure if they stuck to the shallows, if they waited till low tide, even a new born like the one at her hooves could make the journey to their rightful home.

Or was he being completely foolish with greed?
