Meadow

It was...greener than she'd expected. Rhaenys snorted, wrinkling her nose at the bulk of the mainland being trees and grass. Everything felt so...enclosed. She had never considered herself to be claustrophobic, but this place was making her brain reconsider. She stands on the shore for several minutes, ignoring the water droplets cascading down her sides and the silver hair that was plastered against the sharp angles of her face. Dark eyes squint, almost accusingly, at the expanse of trees before her.

Hard pass.

The smell of other horses was almost overbearing and she shook her head with a squeal. She took off down the beach, letting the wind dry her as she did. The sand along the shore was a comfort beneath her feet. The sinking of her hooves with each step was familiar; as was the ocean waves lipping at her ankles.

Outburst taken care of, Rhaenys eventually slid to a stop in a spray of sand, swiveling in the shallows. The water was a strange comfort to her, despite having never having left Salem before today. Her heart is thrumming wildly in her chest, there was so much to look at. She finally halts, planting her feet firmly, staring off into the distance at the lagoon. Even from here it seems stranger than this heavily grassed area and when she'd passed the smell of stallion was quite heavy.

She knew of the lagoon, but she didn't know what a lagoon was. The knowledge was utterly useless to her. Her ears flicked to the sides before quickly flattening against the damp curl of her nape. Her jaw clenches and her nostrils flare. She is not alone.
