I already know. Her confident sass earns another curl of his lips, and he cannot help the retort that forms almost instantly, as playful as that which he might offer a sassy Coin or feisty Amaris. "That's the problem," he taunts, eyes glittering.

"The Lagoon," he answers promptly, surprised she did not know. Granted, Rafe hadn't really taken him on a tour of the islands to show him around, but he'd at least forced Raegar to know what the Lagoon and Peak were, respectively, if only to tell him to stay away from both. He'd listened... mostly, so long as you didn't count plundering both for new herd members.

She shifts away from him and something in his eyes darkens slightly, a predator narrowing on the movement of possible prey, and he remains silent as she taunts him, his smile now more sober. "You'll have to hit harder than that to keep me away," he responds gruffly, more aware than ever of their proximity. All it would take was a few steps for him to close the distance between them, to run his lips across the dappled span of her ribcage, up the proud crest of her neck. "Care to try again?"

The motion she takes to circle him robs him of his witty rejoinders, and as she taunts and teases him it is all he can do to watch her sinuous movements through half-lidded eyes. She'd been pretty, before, but she was radiant now that she was older and more confident. The pale flag of her tail kept drawing his eye, but it fought for attention against the brilliance of her shrewd eyes. It was unfortunate that he could smell another stallion on her, one that was familiar but for whom Raegar did not want to expend a single thought trying to recognize. Whoever it was was not here.

Raegar was.

And so was she.

"Do you think I'm lonely at home, scorpion-girl?" He taunted back, having grown more adept with words in the long months that separated their first interaction from this one. Raegar had not yet surpassed his father in terms of witty banter, but occasionally he managed to deliver a line he was somewhat proud of - this one included. He had no idea if his ploy would work, only that he found the idea of being alone at home amusing, all things considered. Raegar wasn't the type to suffer solitude, after all, especially not now that he had the power to alter his own future.
