Now I come to you with open arms

Zurok stood there, silent, as Ayiana opened up to him and shared her fears and hesitations. His dark eyes remained fixed on her, his gaze steady and unwavering, though his heart ached for the internal struggle she was experiencing. He understood the weight of her responsibilities and the ties that bound her to the Badlands.

As she spoke of the stallion who had saved her and the life she had built there, Zurok couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. He knew he had no right to feel that way, for their connection was still blossoming, and he had no claim over her. But the love he felt for her was undeniable, and the thought of her with another stallion, even if she considered him kind, stung.

Yet, mixed with that jealousy was an understanding. Zurok had cherished his freedom within the vast expanse of the Prairie, but he also knew the importance of duty and sacrifice. He had observed Ayiana's nurturing nature and the love she held for her daughter. And he couldn't fault her for staying where she felt she was needed.

Zurok swallowed the bitter taste of disappointment that threatened to rise within him, and instead, mustered a gentle smile. Taking a step closer, he lowered his head level with Ayiana's, his warm breath mingling with her own. His voice, deep and soothing, resonated with genuine compassion and reassurance.

"Ayiana, I understand. Love is never a simple equation, and we cannot easily sever the ties that bind us to those we care for. Your devotion to your daughter and the stallion who saved you is admirable. I would never ask you to forsake that," he said, his words filled with both acceptance and a longing to be her chosen companion.

Pausing for a moment, Zurok locked eyes with Ayiana, his own eyes reflecting a blend of understanding and fervent affection. "But please know, my dear, that my heart yearns for you. Your radiance, your spirit, it has ignited a flame within me that I cannot easily extinguish. Our connection is something special, and I have found solace and joy in your presence as well."

Zurok's gaze softened, and he continued, his voice tender and sincere. "I cannot say what the future holds for us, but I will wait, for as long as it takes. If there comes a time when you are ready to embrace a life here in the vast expanse of the Prairie, with me by your side, I will be here, waiting with open arms."

He reached out to brush his muzzle gently against hers, his touch conveying a mix of tenderness and devotion. "Until that day comes, my love, let us make the most of the moments we have. Let us create memories that will warm our hearts until we can unite them as one."

Zurok's heart ached with a bittersweet mix of hope and longing, but he knew he had to respect Ayiana's current path and the responsibilities she held dear. He would be patient, steadfast, and unwavering in his love for her, trusting that fate would bring them together when the time was right.
