TURNING MEN INTO monsters

Perhaps if the stallion had been in a better mood, he might have given into her challenges and flirty antics. To have pitched retorts and snide remarks in reply to her cocksure attitude and smirk. Instead, Vadim saw a mare that could survive the Lagoon, and would make another trinket to fill the would-be bachelor lands to annoy Psychedelic with. Let her pepper the older stallion with her attitude, and drive him mad if Vadim hadn’t already.

But this wasn’t the Commons, and Vadim couldn’t just lay his teeth on this mare and call her his. Clearly, she didn’t think him a threat. There was no sign of worry or fear of what he might do physically, which only furthered his annoyance. He had his father’s strength, his size; what was it about him that didn’t seem threatening despite how terrible he acted? Anger bubbled up within Vadim that he wasn’t used too; a different sort of heat that flared beneath his skin than even Psychedelic had created.

“How self-sure you are to think that I would even bother to try and make you swoon.” he said, his green eyes drifting down her body as if appraising her before his gaze found its way back to her face. A glint lingered there in their depths that hadn’t been there before. “You’re not worth the time.” Vadim said, his voice a low growl in his throat as his ears tipped back into the thick tangles of his mane.

Vadim had never tried to hurt a mare before, and he wasn’t sure what overcame him then. His jaws parted, his teeth seeking her flesh and his large frame lurched towards her. His chest nothing short of a battering ram to knock the air from her lungs, or even take her balance to toss her to the ground. He didn’t doubt that she would retaliate. That he would bare whatever marks she gave him in return. But the young stallion didn’t care. He would punish her, and continue to punish her, until she fled from him in the only direction he left open. The Lagoon.
