GUIDELINES - the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands - anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents - adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm - the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head - the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors

Eirena had been in love with a ghost for as long as she could remember. Her former mate's face had haunted her sleepless nights. Even after joining the Prairie herd she'd never stayed with the group in the early days. She kept to herself, ashamed of the deep indents in the ground each morning from her restless nights. She refused to show weakness. And somehow in those months that became more than a year, Zevulun's open kindness and affection for her had healed a part of her heart that she no longer knew existed. She still thought of her lost love and their children often, but Zevulun was not a replacement, he was something new altogether.

Willa's birth in the absence of her father had been difficult on Eirena, and she worried for Zevulun. And though she worried she never once gave up hope he would return to them. Even when the other stallion had arrived, Eirena remained on the outskirts of the Prairie with her daughter, waiting for Zevulun's return. Some may have considered her unwavering loyalty a weakness but to Eirena it was her loyalty and belief he would return that made her strong.

In his absence she nurtured their daughter and taught her to be strong and kind. Each passing day Willa became more and more like her parents. And now as Zevulun stepped forward to claim their home for himself once again, Eirena watched with a smile as Willa galloped across the open expanse of grass to reach her father's side. Though they had been apart, Willa had taken to getting to know him in the time they had all been in the Savanna.

She laughed and Eirena thought it was the most beautiful sound. Like soft chimes and with a smile as radiant as the sun, Eirena believed Willa was truly the best parts of them. She takes her time as the crosses the flower-dotted expanse of territory to reach them, letting Willa bask in this moment with her sire.

"The savanna doesn't have enough of the pretty flowers," Willa finally said, looking up at Zevulun before casting her glance back down to some of the colorful flowers. She made a soft humming sound as she looked for the right one before carefully plucking a bright violet bloom. She reared up and attempted to put the flower into Zevulun's mane behind his ear, grinning widely. She landed with a soft thud, giving her handiwork an appraising nod, "I like it here better," she announced before taking a place at his side to survey the prairie.
