ABC wouldn't use the phony urgency/false present tense if their research didn't justify it. Average viewer is 63 or so. They love David Muir.

As far as Scripps goes, it looks like they're turning a lot of their stations into youtube playlists for TV, one Scripps News package after another without any flow. KSHB only seems to do that at midday, but I'm sure more is coming.
