Your observation appears to be correct from our view in the pits - Front Stands about 50 to 55% and back stretch about 30-35% - I may be a little generous. As I said previously - over the past few years there is no advertising for any events at Oswego. Results are never in the papers or sports news on TV. AARN does carry results and future races but, how many purchase that news or now days can afford it. To get the new fans you have to sell your product.

Hope to see you at the Mills - however - short trip for me. I do believe the increased purse and Nicotra's wing challenge helped Classic turnout. But through the season - stands were empty. Somehow purses need to get up and get the cars out weekly. Thats why I say get the results out and plug the sponsors. You attract sponsors by advertising their products. That isn't being done over the past few seasons.

Weedsport had TV clips running for their big show to overflow crowds. Oswego should follow suit. For Classic 1000 more fans more at $50 bucks per head is $50K. More than covers advertising. Maybe the Speedway doesn't care. Supper Dirt Week rental to the DIRT Organization may give them all the profit they need for the year. The rest of the season becomes a tax write off for the weekly loses.
