Laying there in the hole she almost dug herself, Syrah looked about her. She knew that she was in a safe place for the moment, but that did not really ease her from the pain that marked her whole body. Her light colored frame was marked with crimson and she could not really remember how she got into this state of disarray. Her mind just hoped that whoever heard her call would be comin to save her from herself. She was a danger to her body and she was so thankful that she did not carry a foal. Her body would heal and she would not have to worry about helping someone other than herself.

Hearing her name from another horse, Syrah looked over at a painted stallion that she could not remember the name of. He was a handsome male, but that was all she could say about him. Scanning his almost yellow eyes, Syrah took a moment to register what he had asked her. Her answer to that question was iffy at best as she rolled over onto her stomach with a pained grunt. She did not know this stallion, but at the moment he was the only one here at her rescue and she wasn't going to ruin this. Once she was up and moving would she ask who he was… Hopefully he would not be upset with that fact.

Tucking her front legs, Syrah grunted as she heaved her front end up on wobbly legs. Her hooves faltered faintly, but she managed to stand up with her hind end barely keeping her from falling back down. The muscles lining her frame tried to buckle, but she kept herself just sturdy enough that she managed to look at the stallion with her pain palpable. She feared she had a long way to walk, but she would certainly do her best for the next stretch. That was, before she opened her lips and the one question swirling through her mind coated the air.

“Who… who are you?”
