Paradise was her home now, which was a stark difference from the Ridge where she once dwelt. It was never quite where she wanted to be, however, and the Ridge had served her only in keeping her safe while she dealt with so much loss. Now she was moving forward. There was motion and it was pushing her towards something bigger than she expected.

It was a day like any other for her–

The sun and the birds and the endless bounty of trees. Saoirse walks carefully, keeping to a slip of path made by many restless feet. Her pale gold ears twitch gently, listening to the faint voices, and she steadily makes for where they were.

She knew it was time for Oracle to appear to her. Tarot had been sure of giving up the child in her care and Saoirse was glad to have family again–she would give anything to have a companion and raising a child was something so very special. The spotted mare slowly comes upon the filly, now joined by a rather dashing young cold who already tries his art of flirtation. She smiles, knowing things are already in motion that will shape Oracle for better or worse.

“My sweet darlings,” Saoirse coos gently to them, stepping into their little circle. She looks from Oracle to the cold with a smile. Softly she reaches her muzzle out to brush, hopefully, against the filly’s thin neck. “You are a beautiful girl,” the mare nods, “he’s right in that.”

There’s a teasing, musical note to her voice. “He is handsome, don’t you think?” Saoirse nudges her daughter with a grin before turning her attention to the cold. “My name is Saoirse and this is my daughter, I am Deputy of Paradise and live here to serve others–”

“It is nice to meet you and thank you for being so kind to my sweetling,” Saoirse blows a warm breath into the tuft of Oracle’s forelock.
