With just this weekend's NESS race at Thompson remaining, let's take a look at highlights for the 2023 supermodified season. I'll pick one from each of the series:
Oswego - Michael Barnes runs out of fuel for the second year in a row to allow Dave Danzer to get his first Classic win after leading most of the race.
ISMA/MSS - Jeff Abold makes a bold move in lapped traffic to take the lead from Mike McVetta with two laps to go at the first series race at Evans Mills. McVetta finishes second and wins his first ISMA/MSS championship.
NESS - Russ Wood gets his first NESS feature win in the Lane 97 at Oxford Plains -- Russ now has wins in each of the past five decades.
