He nods to Sakhmet when she claims a place amongst those to go to the Lagoon. Her request to return to the peak was problematic, "I worry that smelling of the Peak when you rescue them will lead to the Lagoon lashing out at the Peak… but I will not detain you." Translation - he hadn’t the energy to command her to do something she wasn’t inclined to do. He was wearied and had lost some of the steam his reclamation of the Dunes had given back to him.
He turns, putting himself towards the sands again and his eyes cast to the stars. "Make sure that my daughter does not follow you when you go to rescue those from the Lagoon. I would not have her put herself at risk before she is even Mira, Sakhmet. I have lost enough and I haven’t the energy to lose more at this time." He is sad, but again he feels it is too much of a burden to elaborate on it. He had seen her glance when he had turned back to her - he knew she had a notion what his dilemma surrounded at the moment.
"Unless there is a priority here that I must attend?"
He shakes his head, not sure that there might be anything his mutual-marked sand sister could do for him at this point.
