The travels brought me here…

Voyager stood at the ready for a long while. His strength did dwindle however and at some point in the night he had laid down beside the sleeping Cromer with his chin against her front shoulder. His large frame could bundle up into a medium sized ball, but that was not always the best. So as the night went on and he slept, Voyager's body faintly stretched out until he was almost a brown bear sized lump on the ground. His black coat faintly absorbed and glowed with the patchy moonlight through the tree cover, but he would not see it himself. He slept easily until the sun began to rise and the chirping of birds woke him from his undisturbed slumber.

Rising with the sun, Voyager's body heaved itself off of the ground with a groan as he shook out the bulk he called his body. Amber eyes flicked down to Cromer who was still sleeping, her peaceful form letting his mind ease as he looked around them. He could not smell any danger or predators and it allowed him to pad a bit off on the trail with his tail flicking at his side. He was going to check the faint opening that had more lush grass than that of their bed area and he hoped that it would go well. Today Voyager vowed that he would not be making a fool of himself. He would show Cromer around and let her enjoy the land she would be staying in as long as she wished.

Pushing through branches that faintly grabbed onto his mane, Voyager let his body gain warmth from the sun as he stood in the small kind of meadow that was in the forest. There were always those hidden places that gave areas for grass to grow easier. He would never know what made these places honestly, but the small area without trees gave lush grass in the spring and through the fall rainy season. Looking about though, Voyager made sure there was no presence of danger as he stepped foot out into the meadow entirely. His hooves slowly strode through the shorter grass, showing that horses were not the only ones to run around here as he closed his eyes soon after and raised his head to take in the warmth of the morning. The heat of the day would be another story.

As time passed and he had left Cromer alone for a while, Voyager turned back in the direction he came and let his large hooves work over the pathway more. He enjoyed the silence that was slightly touched by bird song, but there was nothing else to ruin it. The birds almost called to him and the stallion could only smile as his large frame pushed through more branches to see Cromer awake and looking around. “How did you rest Cromer?” Came his greeting of the morning, a light to his eyes saying he had enjoyed the day so far walking around his little home.
