The young filly blinked her soft eyes, her body growing cold rested by the waterfall. Her body was blanketed in water and her body was not well equipped with staying warm in this climate. Her thin frame shivered with every nibble of grass, tears lining her cheeks. The seal bay filly wanted her mom, wanted her comfort. Yet, as she laid here the filly saw now sign of her mother or the wolves. She was here all alone and bound to a fate she did not know. She might survive and she might not, but she was not old enough to understand that train of thought. Instead, her eyes closed as the ache for her mother intensified until small hickuping sobs escaped her lips with the grass niblets falling out.
Divinity Rising laid there softly crying until her little ears picked up the sound of hooves. Her bright brown eyes flicked to the horse that came her way and the little filly stumbled up from the ground. Staring at the mare, Divinity slowly stumbled forward before she tucked her head to this new horses chest. Her mom was not coming for her and she was cold. Back home her mom had spoken of how other mares would help with herd foals, but she had not been old enough to meet them before the wolves attacked. Now, she did not speak as she listened to this mare she tucked up against speak into the air.
Nuzzling her chest, Divinity took a deep breath before pulling back faintly. “M… Mom gone.” She stumbled out, not having learned to speak well with her being so young. Her eyes held tears once again as she looked at this light colored mare before her. “I… I come from wa-water.” Her voice began to choke as she tried not to cry. The wolves tried to kill her and the ocean had stolen her away to these islands. Now, Divinity was homeless and motherless.
