The travels brought me here…

Softly flicking his ears Voyager turned to face her entirely with the ocean not on his mind any longer. His bright eyes scanned her frame for a moment before he shook his head, her words sending a jolt through his body. “You do not disappoint me Cromer. I was raised differently than you and that's okay. It takes time for different lines to meet in the middle.” Voyager himself was raised with affection being allowed and openly shown. He did not expect Cromer to change just for him and he should have done better at controlling himself. She came from a life before he met her and it was not the same as what he had been raised with. She was beauty but most importantly she was fire.

Listening to her more, the stallion did not his head once her words were entirely finished. Cromer was someone he would love to know better, but that would take time for them to reach an openness that he was used to back home. “What more would you like to know?” Voyager knew she did not know much, but he was not the best at just throwing out facts about himself. His old life played like a video in his mind and sometimes the black stallion did not wish to fully remember it all, but others he was thankful for the reminders. Blinking his soft eyes, the stallion faintly nudged her shoulder before tilting his head for her to follow him. Instead of talking out in the open for anyone to hear them, Voyager would like to take her to more solitude.

“If you will follow me Mer, I have a place to show you that is more secluded for our conversation.” It would be like they vanished for a while, but with her at his side Voyager was not worried that someone would take her from the safety of the forest. Smiling a real smile this time, Voyager turned away from her and lifted muscle coiled legs to guide her along the beach. Seclusion made it easier for him to speak. She might find tears in his eyes during their conversation depending on her questions, but that would be okay. Sometimes even those that were male needed to cry in front of others. He just hoped that if he did cry, she would not run from him with how hard it can be to hold the darkness inside at bay. He may have grown up loved, but the stallion had seen things that made him feel like a monster for never stepping in.
