Ghosts whisper in my ears. (Miriella)

Hooves lifted from the ground with a resounding thump as a large body weighing at least a couple hundred pounds landed upon thick muscle. Eyes that held pain blinked as jaws opened to let out a screaming cry of pain when teeth buried their way into the lower portion of the horse's neck. Ears buried themselves in the horse's mane as his body stepped backwards on two hind legs, his balance being lost when the weight of the cat landed upon his spine. Nahawi’s rear hooves slid against the ice coated ground before he slipped over backwards, the cat letting go of his neck barely too late.

Landing with a resounding thump, Nahawi cried out again as the cat's claws dug into him from below. He had fallen, but the cat had not been crushed. Its razor sharp claws were ripping at his flesh and giant teeth grabbed ahold of him as the cat let out its own muffled cry of pain. The duo were doing their best to get out of this predicament, but a horse weighing at least twelve hundred pounds was not an easy thing to move when pain laced their neck and back.

Heaving out a choked breath, Nahawi was about to scream again when his eyes landed upon a mare standing frozen. The pained gleam grew sharp with anger for he did not wish anyone else to be here to see that he was most likely going to die. If he died, he would rather be alone so that no one had to watch the life leave him and teeth tear into his flesh and eat him like a thanksgiving turkey. So, with that all in mind, the stallion forced himself up with his ears pinned and eyes barely holding back tears once the cat's teeth and claws let go. He needed to move the mare and currently, the cat was licking the main paw that Nahawi had fallen upon.

“Move!” Came the stallion's voice, his eyes locked upon the light colored mare. “Run and don't turn back! I'll be right behind you.” The stallion was practically yelling as he moved forward at a limping trot, his nose finally pushing against her shoulder to get her to move. The cat was beginning to make noise behind them and Nahawi did not want another confrontation with that beast.

“Please run!”
