When the darkness comes….

Her call was left unanswered, but the mare did wait in her position. Her smile fell away finally as she let the storm coat her body in water, her mind envisioning it as blood. She wanted her body to be coated in red from the one she lost against, but for now she would consider it a done deal. The Savanna would be forgotten for now considering she had a home, but in the future she might cause a little chaos there. It would change in time for her job was more important now as the Crown here in Paradise. This was her home and she would do her best at making it a community where people could live and thrive.

Hearing hooves slowly cross over soil, Siren turned her gaze to two small horses. The bright embers inside them died down when she locked her gaze onto a yearling colt. She smelt no mother here for the mare before her she figured was not in foal or had not foaled yet. Her ears swiveled for a minute as she thought, her long gray coat dripping rain onto the ground as droplets slowly slid down her face. She had never been faced with yearlings out here and she had dealt with them back home, but she was trying to be different here. She already lost her foal of the year and now she was staring at something she wished she would have raised herself.

Confused, the mare licked her lips as she thought, but soon enough they were close enough for her to really get a look at them. The mare was a gorgeous black with a silver mane and tail and she envied those colors, but she knew her purebred lines never held the chance for such color. Flicking her eyes over to the cold, Siren felt her heart clench as his white and black frame shined before her. She had the urge to step closer, but she held herself back for a moment, even though one hoof slid forward on the ground without her noticing. She wanted to touch this colt, know what a young horse's fur felt like and an odd mother-like nicker escaped her lips that she covered with a cough.

“Greetings. My name is Siren’s Symphony and I am the Crown of Paradise now. May I know your names?” She asked, her tone not even gaining the chances to show her predatory nature. The soft tone spoke of a mare that could not get past the loss of her own child as she turned her eyes to the mare, trying her best to behave.

SIREN’S SYMPHONY
