The travels brought me here…(Open)

Something was happening on the shores of the land. The sound of waves crashing against sand was usual, but the heaving sound of exhausted breath was not. Large nostrils flared as the scent of a stranger coursed through their system. Blood rushed against a pounding heart as large hooves lifted from their position. A large black body slowly left their perch, their amber eyes flaring with a steady emotion that could not truly be named. Muscles pulled and flexed under a dark as night coat, but the horse's dark lips pulled back to show pink gums and blunt teeth as a savage look colored their face.

Pushing through tree branches with muscles bulging steadily, the horse named Voyager headed to the sandy beach where his amber eyes landed upon that of a wayward lagoon stallion. His tail lashed against his sides as he gave a loud snort, his head arched high upon his neck. The stallion's dark coat pulled in the early morning sun as the horse down below coughed up water, the red duan coat glistening with salt water and the morning's fresh fall light. Voyager had never seen this horse before, but he was cautious considering he had Cromer to protect farther into his section of the forest.

“State your business here.” Voyager's voice rang out over the bank, his body held high as wind began to whip against his frame. Long strands of his mane and tail blew with the breeze and he looked more like a statue stuck in time than a living and breathing horse. His eyes were locked upon that of this red dun, but the look he got back had the black stallion's ears perking forward. If Voyager did not know better, he would think that the lagoon stallion was almost pleading with just his eyes.

WIth the wind came the other horse's words, his voice deep and almost pleasant to the forest goliath's ears. “I search for a place to guide a friend of mine if the elections fail.” Voyager's thoughts internally stopped there as the forest stallion's body almost shook where he stood. From what he had heard, the lagoon was a place of horrid beasts, yet here he was standing just a few yards away from one that was seeking refuge for someone he cared about? Voyager thought on this subject for a minute, knowing that it was not his place to set up ideals with the lagoon considering the forest was not his entirely. Bacardi ruled here and he was lucky he was given a sub-lead position.

Licking his lips, Voyager watched this soaking wet red dun until the other horse gave a bow, his neck missing a good chunk of mane. His body was covered in sparring scars and others that Voyager knew were not just from sparring. This horse before him had a body that was layered with scars that had stories behind them, but his next words had the black stallion stalling until he turned his head to the forest and almost searching for Cromer, wishing for her to come and weigh in on this section of land that he ruled with her at his side.

“I plead for her to have a safe place if I don’t win the Boss position sir. Please let me give her sanctuary here.” Shivering, Voyager moved down to the bowing horse before he lowered his head and asked a simple question. “For me to give you sanctuary for someone, I need to know your name and why entirely this is needed.” Voyager's voice died down as the red horse before him stood up to his full height.

“My name is Nahawi and I fear for her safety if I lose.”
