Such a blast of Fresh Air

Maybe it was hormones but there was a big part of him that believed it to be more on her part. It wasn't just her hormones and somehow he understands this deep down. There is hope. Right? Yes, there is always hope. Asphara is leaning against him and pouring her heart out to him. She is upset and she is full of a sadness. Gently he listens to the sound of her sobs and the melting deep inside has grown deeper. What is taboo? It isn't really something he believes in. There is only here and now. There is learning and growing. There is believing in something that can be. Perhaps the paths will change down the road but perhaps not. Polar can hope that their paths won't later on change. He doesn't want them to.

Things can be good. They can be great if they'll just let it be. That can happen right? Not his child. Not his children. That doesn't matter to the stallion though. That can all change for him. They can have a child right? Later when they have grown accustomed to one another. When love flourishes and grows. Because it will. Polar knows this somehow. He feels her leaning into him for the warmth and comfort. Polar won't pull away until she requires some space. There will be times he is sure but not now. Now she welcomes and craves the comfort he's providing her. Polar won't turn away from her. He cannot.

There is warmth on the islands but not here. Not on the mainland. It was different and closer to Tinuvel. Colder in the evening hours. It was not the coolest it could be but it wasn't so pleasant either for some. He was used to Tinuvel that being his home island. Tinuvel had been home. It was where he'd been born and grew up. Exploring had acclimated him to many climates however. The sobs racking her body were turning into shivers now and he wraps his head and neck around her further. He pulls her closer to him with a gentle tug. Soon she pulls back and Polar watches Asphara a couple of movements here. She looks a little confused and questioning of him. Those honey eyes smile as their full of warmth. Brilliant and twinkling as she inquires of him coming to the Ridge with her. Her home.

"I will Asphara if you'll have me." Polar knows there are others and he will need to appease to their nature. Hopefully it won't be that hard. He wants to get to know Asphara. He wants to be with her. To comfort her and to protect her. To let fondness for her turn into so much more with time. Time that they could have. That they will have. Polar was going to follow his heart here. It was leading him to her and nothing less. Polar knew that they could have a life together and a family. In time. It was all new right now but he'd never felt this sort of way before and he wonders if she had either. Again she speaks about him really wanting to come with her? Polar smiles warmly toward her. She is looking at him so hopeful. Gently he responds with that rich and pleasant tone.

"Lead the way Asphara." It was as much a yes as anything. Of course he would come with her. It is what she wanted and it is what he wants. Ears twitch and swivel in a perking motion on his head. Those eyes look intently into her own and he waits. He knew of the Ridge but doesn't recall if he'd ever been there before. Probably not. She speaks of it being warmer and he gently bobs his head. Polar moves a step or two and waits, watching her. Once she led the way he would move alongside her. Perhaps they would talk more if she wished. They could walk in silence also if she chose. He would not mind either way. Polar only knew that he wished to be with her.
