Was that a trig question? Posted on December 26, 2023 at 02:01:56 AM by Craig G
Do you have secant analysis too?
No, but I think that when it comes to successful jai-alai analysis, a tendency to go off on a tangent is not be a very good sine.
trajectory...
When I was reviewing the videos of that Miami season with Goiko, Lopez, Erik, Aritz, and others, my intent was to just track the point outcomes. But I couldn't help but notice patterns in the play, particularly how lethal the right sides of the big guys - Goiko and Lopez - could be if you gave them the slightest opening away from the side wall.
Since I have a strong background in chess, where patterns are ultra-important, especially forcing sequences, I was intrigued by the similarity.
But of course, not all passing shots are the same, and that's why I like 'trajectory' in describing the right-side, hard thrown, comparatively low-liner, chula-seeking missiles.
Incidentally, I always thought that in singles, long-time Dania singles champ Arriaga had a right side that was effectively 'laser-guided'. So, very similar.
However, since they say a picture is worth a thousand words, I will provide a very fine in my next post. Replies:
