I can remember in Melbourne while watching and betting some teams would choose to use a new cold ball. As a spectator I hated it as did most of the crowd. We would scream get a faster ball. I had no idea to the strategy behind it but the speed of the game is a big attraction and I think does more harm than good. In the winter time Echaniz would put the balls under a heat lamp to help with the speed. I grew to actually like playing with a slower ball against certain players. What do you think guys?
