Did you get this from an article or what? I have read that the military has trouble recruiting people, and I know those who fly smaller turbo planes for the feeder airlines are dreadfully underpaid.
Big jet pilots are well paid, always have been.
Dunno about police but they are under fire, I expect in part because they are expected to behave and for those who don't want to, the thrill of pushing people around is diminishing with camera supervision. To police the right way takes a certain disposition and people with THOSE skills can probably find much more rewarding careers elsewhere. Replies: There have been no replies.
