LET THEM HATE AS LONG AS THEY FEAR.

Siren made every mistake she could in the books of her raising. Her family raised her to be kind and gentle, to care for those below and above her. Yet, she became a demonic presence, one that others would call twisted and mean. She was something children feared and those raising them despised. She was a stain upon the horse world, but she did not know how to change it. She wanted her home here to be safe, but she had made the mistake of fighting others she was not meant to. Her fire bright eyes were broken as was her soul, but she spoke nothing of it as she stood staring out where Sarira lived in this paradise.

Hearing hooves in the vegetation, Siren about whirled on who came close to her after labor body when her gaze set upon Finley. He had been right all those months ago and now here she stood with no child, no hope, and no will. Her head turned back to face where she had come, the yowling of cats fighting forcing her ears to pin and her gaze to close as agony ripped through her body. She made these choices, but here she was wanting to make them again in her twisted mind. However, she knew that was not the course she should follow. She challenged Kvasir, she challenged Tyr, and she had sent Rutger on a fool's errand to challenge Mariael. She had set her own territory to failure, but there was no coming back from the brink just yet.

Opening her eyes and looking towards the dark stallion, Siren swallowed the lump in her throat and finally spoke the words that she knew Finley already knew and kept quiet about. “You were right.” Her voice was broken, her nose full of snot and sounding like she had just watched someone die, when in reality he had died before she ever saw him. “I created the fallout I now stand with.” Her head turned away from him, her grey coat shining under the sun that slipped through the jungle branches. Her long tail flicked behind her, but she felt the pull on what she should allow to fall naturally. “I am surprised you haven't told me ‘I told you so’ yet Finley. You were very adamant about it out in the Ruins that I was making the wrong choice.”
