Something was calling to the depths of Pacific Rim’s soul. Her body was passed due on her child just by a faint bit, but that was okay. Horses did not always drop on the expected day and she knew now was the time to go and search for the perfect place to have her foal. The Bay was safe, she knew that. However, Pacific Rim could not get herself to drop the urge to go hunting for a safe place that would leave this Bay free of the wolves and other predatory creatures that would come once the smell of birth entered the air.

Shaking her head, the tall battle scarred mare moved through the territory and soon enough hit the spring touched ocean water. She was not sure if Fell would follow her, but Rim did not care. Her mind was stuck on the distance and with that all in her mind, she tuned out everything behind her as her body forced her to swim. Mares were known to go find a secluded place away from everyone to have their children, but Pacific Rim was taking it a bit farther than needed just like her mother before her.

Grunting once she stood on the Crossing, Rim flicked her dark tipped ears around her head before she moved to where the sound of water cascading to the ground came. Rim had never been to the falls, but the knowledge that the rushing water would drown out the birthing pain sounds made her search for it with a high intensity. Currently all was well with her search and after a full day of searching till she found the right place, Rim was able to bed down in the thick brush just a ways away from the falls.

Licking her lips, Rim was about to rise and help her foal stand after everything when the first cracking sound filled her ears. Jerking her head up, Rim watched as the place above the falls began to shake and the sound of water gushing along stone had her body trembling. Turning to her gently colored daughter, Rim worked on rousing the carbon copy of herself when water blasted from up high and swallowed the whole structure of the falls and began to flood out the ground she stood on.

Pushing her daughter, Rim screamed even though it would be hard to hear if anyone was around her as she moved her child through the swirling and gushing water around them. The child was just hours old and already she was being forced to move quickly and away from her birth place. Rims blue eyes faintly rolled back from panic as she stomped on the ground, water splashing past her belly and up as she worked on keeping her daughter away from the worst of currents and farther away from the quickly flooding area.

After more time, Rim stood with her child on a small knoll that was hidden by water. Rims knees were surrounded by water and her child's chest was submerged and the young horse was shivering. It was cold and there was not enough strength in Rim to save them both, so she stood there hoping Fell or even a straggler horse would come upon them and give aid.
