I’ll be your end.

After the freak accident in the Falls, Rim went home with Uprising at her side. It was a hard swim for the newly born filly, but Rim did her best to transport the youngling with as much ease as possible. The swim had been hard on Uprising, but Rim gave her time to recoup once they were on the sturdy lands of the Bay. This was their home, but Rim had not been able to be comfortable enough to birth here and that she could not understand why. Fell was a good leader, a strong stallion. She should have felt safe enough here to birth the young blue roan filly, but she didn't. It was as if her past was coming to chew her rump into pieces no matter how many strides she took in order to escape the clutches of her birth home. Her father and everyone else back home had tainted Rim to the point of now escape, making her a shell of what she should be considering where she now called home and the strength of her leader and stallion.

Standing on the beach that faced the ocean's huge expanse, Rim watched her daughter softly play in the sands now. Time had passed by them and now two weeks spoke of how old this young horse was. She was almost a carbon copy of Rim, but Uprising did have a bit more white to her body that would set herself away from her darker mother. Looking at the filly now, Rim was about to call her back into the lush forest behind them when the sound of water splashing caused her head to jerk to the right, eyes narrowing upon the group of horses that were coming from the water. Rim knew them the moment the largest of them escaped the water, the roan stallion before no one other than her own father.

Digging a hoof into the ground, Rim beckoned her daughter close and soon enough stood over Uprising as she gave a deep call to her family, ears pinned tight to her head as she arched her neck. Rim’s blue eyes flashed with anger as she settled them on all the horses, a total of four. They knew Rim could not hold out against that many and with such little practice as of late, Rim was honestly not prepared for this. Her body was still rebounding from having her foal and her mind was getting used to this life where she did not have to protect herself at all times. Rim was rusty to say the least and the laughter that came from her dear ol’ dad spoke of just how much he knew with a single look to his battle trained daughter.

”Pacific Rim…. Long time so see daughter..” Her fathers words had the blue roan mare shivering upon the spot, anger making her muscles twitch before she finally raised her head and gave a call to Fell, knowing that she could not take care of these horses and protect her daughter at the same time. Yet, as her call ended, Rim’s body was slammed against so hard that she stumbled and the squeal from Uprising had her shifting on her hooves and reaching forward to match the blow her father had struck against her side.
