It wasn't hard to spot Helios today. The rich chestnut coat of the stallion was stark against the pale beach as he strode out upon it. The brown of his eyes glinted in the afternoon sun as he gazed out over the water. Helios had been observing the borders of his part of the territory, establishing by way of scent that these ways were watched and guarded. His keen gaze swung to the right, from the southwest waters northerly to the west. That was when he just barely caught sight of a creature in the waves.

As the shape drew closer, the brassy chestnut of their pelt was clearly distinguishable from the whitecaps of the incoming waves. The stallion's ears twisted back against his poll and then forward once more as trepidation churned in his gut. This wasn't his first visitor from the ocean. Helios had a feeling it wouldn't be the last either. When the flaxen stallion observed the chestnut shape finally arrive some way down the beach and haul themselves ashore, he continued to watch. This particular visitor seemed larger than himself from what the Arabian could spy from his perch. Being larger than himself wasn't much of a feat; Helios would grant that to be true. It wasn't often though that he met someone bigger boned; Drafts were not so common in the deep deserts of his past.

Their call for audience piqued his interest, and the flaxen chestnut made his own way across the sandgrass slopes to them. With the pale length of his tail lifted high in an arabesque fashion, Helios quickly came down the shoreline to meet the stranger. He had not been sought out this way before, being a new leader on the islands, and there could be many reasons for the visit. Deep eyes took in the drenched form of the pangare stallion. His eyes narrowed at the blood staining the sand and searched for its source. He didn't have to look far; large clawmark wounds raked at the stallion's flanks and legs. "It's no small feat to escape from a wildcat, friend." A crawling sensation makes the skin on his own flanks flinch as if his skin had imagined the claws of the enemy touching it.
