Falls

VOICE OF THE PEOPLE.

Resting a back leg with her head bent, Snapdragon slowly took a bite of the grass that was softly touching her knees. It had grown pretty high over the spring, the Fall’s touch with its lovely cascading waves seeming to help the grasses grow. Blinking her gentle eyes lazily, Snapdragon went to take another bite of grass when the sound of something above her breaking had her head jerking up with her ears perking high upon her head and mouth falling still with grass faintly sticking outside her lips.


Searching up the mountain that the Fall’s came from, Snapdragon narrowed her eyes when suddenly water gushed down from the steep drop and hit the ground with a resounding boom. Her ears soon enough tucked tight to her head and she spun around, her body trying to leave the banks of the small lake that held the running water before the flooding depths came her way. Snapdragons small hooves did their best, but soon enough a scream could be heard through out the falls.


Being pulled around by the currents of gushing water, Snapdragon barely kept her head out of the water that was dragging her away from the lake. She had not been fast enough and had slipped, her head hitting a rock and knocking her unconscious for a few minutes. She had gained consciousness as soon as her body would allow, but already the water was raising heights that she could not escape entirely on her own. With blood running from her temple, Snapdragon heaved herself up from her knees and soon enough tried to fight the current that wanted to hold her hostage before finally she cried out, searching for help as her vision swam with blurry edges.
