Oswin wasn’t actually sure if it was going to work and worried she was going to have to smack him back again before he’d listen. She saw the way rage held his gaze, able to push him through the injury he already sustained, putting weight on it and possibly injuring himself further. Unfortunately, though, if he made her… Oswin would strike him again. With more force if she had to, no matter what she was adding to his list of injuries. It had been the only way to knock Mariael out of her moods, so Oswin was employing that same tactic here.

Thankfully, he seemed to suddenly come free, the pain on his already-swelling ankle finally grappling him. Oswin watched with concern across her face - concern, despite his intrusion on the Ridge thus far - and tried not to think too hard on why she felt that way toward him. She should be murderous right now, charging up on him while his mind was caught in a state of confusion, but Oswin stayed right where she was. She watched him, allowed him the space to process, then watched as the confusion caused him to stumble backward and fall.

Her head snapped up as he went down, and then lowered as she inspected him from the safe distance she was standing, seeing that he was still breathing, that he hadn’t cried out with too much pain, and she hadn’t heard another strange crunch. She decided, looking at the anguish coming over his face, that he was safe for her to approach.

Oswin looked at the red stallion almost pityingly as she walked up toward him. “Do you need any help lying more comfortably?” She asked quietly. Oswin didn’t feel it was a good idea for him to stand, but he could lay among the jungle ferns while they talked, because he sure as hell wasn’t getting away from her on that foot of his. Even aching, damp with sweat and still breathing with some exertion, Oswin wasn’t worried about her own needs just yet.
