DEDICATE YOUR LIFE TO TRUTH.

Silence coated the storm chilled air. Nahawi could hear the rippling sounds roll through the forest around them before a gut wrenching feeling pulled from within his chest and it took everything in him to stand upright. The painted stallions words coursed through his ears and left his brain numb, the pain eradicating any other feeling he once possessed as he closed his eyes and curled his head against his chest, tears once again streaming down his face as he forced back a broken sob. He had to relinquish any wants to meet his daughter again in the future just to give her a safe home and it had his heart constricting so tight in his chest that he could barely breathe.

Letting a sad breath coat his lungs, Nahawi was about to speak when Voyager voiced his own words to try and help Nahawi make the right decision. ”Nothing will happen to the child Nahawi. Bacardi is making sure nothing comes for her with your Lagoon scent guiding them here.” Nahawi knew it was more than that though, his mind already running into a dark gutter of pain and sorrow as he slowly lifted his face and stared ahead with blank eyes. He did not want to lose his daughter, but he knew better than to take her home with him after this attempt at her safety.

Shifting his hooves, Nahawi slowly stepped forward with his daughter, his head lowering and staring at the ground for a moment before he stopped before Bacardi and raised his head. The blazing need to take care of his blood was stronger than the selfish desires he possessed and with a faint grunt, he nuzzled his daughter one last time before nudging her towards the paint. “I want her safe far more than I want to see her get hurt… I wish I could come see her but I understand there will be no chance of that happening before the two year mark if she ever remembers me.” Nahawi had to take care of her before himself and it left his heart shattered in pieces in his quivering chest.

“Please care for her… I cant do it myself.” He finally whispered before looking both stallions in the eye and nodding his head before turning back to the ocean and moving towards it, his daughter to entranced by the painted stallions coloring to even think of following the red dun to sea.

This was the turning point for Nahawi and as he stepped one hoof into the ocean, the howling storm lit the fire of an enraged wolf in his chest and set the red dun into a mental space that no one could cure him from.
