Raising eyes of a golden hue from the ground in which they were captivated, a young buttermilk buckskin morgan scanned the land around her. The muscle of her haunches faintly twitched as she turned her body, the soft movements drawing her muscled frame to a turning point. Her ears slowly tipped forward, the black rimmed objects seeming to be locked on a distant sound. Her tail flicked against her hocks, the obsidian locks matching that of her onyx legs. The mares honey gold eyes faintly blinked, her dark lashes lining her cheeks for just a single moment before she moved farther into the area she found herself.
Sniffing at the air, Goldenrod let her ears swivel slowly before she turned her potent gaze upon a waterfall. She had heard it a ways back, but as her hooves stood in the knee high grasses of a fresh summer, the mare contemplated many things. Her mind was a slowly working machine that was not fully warmed up, but as her body slowly absorbed the warm sunlight she felt herself growing into a calmer state as she let the waterfall coax a soft whinny from her lips, curious of what could come her way.
With her voice slowly swallowed and drowned out by the falls, Goldenrod lowered her head and began to nibble on the lush grass that had not fully been burnt away. Her body moved through the golden capped grasses and almost matched the shade of the foliage, but that brought a gentle smile to her lips and she let out an easy breath. For now, the mare ate her fill and waited patiently to see if anyone would come join her in this lovely place.
