My father Wg Cdr Brian James Ball, RAF, DFC, (affectiontely known as 'Chunky'flew in Korea with Lloyd on 77 Squadron. After Chunky passed away in 2019 I remained in touch with Lloyd who was of tremendous support to me and helped me through my grief. Lloyd was that sort of person. We exchanged cards, letters and emails and the occasional telephone call. This Christmas I did not hear from Lloyd, and I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing. A truly kind, compassionate and inspirational friend. I shall miss him deeply. Lindy, England Replies:
