Her heart begins to slow its rapid beat and thrums rhythmically against her ribs once again. Quivering legs shake beneath her as she tries her best to regain her bearing and begin to piece together where she had even ended up. She draws another breath through fluttering nostrils, the sweet scent of fresh water greets her, along with the musty lingering smell of other horses. Where had she found herself? She draws her dark eyes toward a distant waterfall - its white frothy waters cascade down the slippery moss covered rocks into a still pool at its feet.

But before she could move toward the still waters the heavy thud of hooves on the frozen earth warn her of someones hasty approach. Her ears nervously rotate atop her crown as she waits for a moment to see who would depart from the dense forest. A long groan leaves her lips as he steps from the shadows. He had... after all - decided to give chase.

If you wanted to get me alone, all you had to do was ask, he says with a cool smile and a wink. "Ughhh," she groans beneath her breath "WHAT makes you think I wanted you alone?" she snaps as her tail lashes across her sides. What was with these boys? She had no interest in their company and it seems he didn't take the first hint? What part of running away signified she wanted to spend MORE time with him? Time for a different tactic because apparently the first one didn't work.

"Is there ANYONE else you can grace with your precense?" she asks with a tilt of her chin and a few bats of her dark eyelashes. "You are sooo handsome, you could woe any OTHER lady." Flattery. Yes flattery could work. If she fluffed up his ego enough, perhaps he would find her boring and not worth his time. She knew of so many girls at home who were flashier and prettier than her. Maybe, she could interest him in one of them?

A girl could certainly hope.
