Standing with his ears perked forward, Nahawi eyed the mare before he let his gaze flick to the land around them. He would be ready in case someone came their way, but the red dun did not wish to have any battles today. This lovely mare deserved a night of peace and he would do his best to allow that, but something just ate at his gut. He was unsure of what it was really, but he would not voice that to the mare beside him.

Hearing her words and then watching as she moved beside him and then in front, Nahawi smiled softly before his body moved and trailed behind her. His ears still flicked about, but he kept them listening to the sides and behind him. It was instinct to watch their backs while she watched the front, a thing most horses did as they walked. It was when she spoke her name that his head perked up a bit more and his ears shoved forward from where they had been splayed to the side and tilted backwards.

“It is nice to meet you, Ararat.” He knew he had said that before, but a quirky grin lined his face before he looked out to the side. The snow was coming steady, but their bodies moved and the snow did not pile upon them. They had a faint dusting, but as the steam from their breath flowed into the sky and came off of their backs, Nahawi fell into the peaceful pace that Ararat had set.
