TRUTH NEVER PERISHES.

Time had slipped by since the day of the battle. Pacific Rim had healed, her body stronger. Her pale eyes were dull though, the fire once in them gone as she watched her daughter grow and avoid her. Uprising would be a year in no time and yet the two did not have any form of relationship. Uprising had seen her father and her mother kill that day and it had started the canyon that now split them apart. Rim wanted her daughter, wanted to bond with the carbon copy of herself. Yet, the blue roan overo mare knew that those days were long gone and with that heavy in her heart, the mare turned away from her fully weaned filly and headed farther into the bay.


Picking up the scent of a mare, Rim pinned her ears. It had the scent of the Paradise territory, one that had been causing issues with her home. Rolling her eyes at her initial anger, Rim pulled in a deeper breath and slowly got the scent of Fell upon the mare. So it seemed Fell had taken yet another member from Paradise and had brought them down a peg once more. SMiling at that thought, Rim lifted her head and slowly moved through the trees of the Bay. Her two toned hooves moved over sticks, stones, and anything in her path.


On her way over, Rim heard the call that would have her hooves picking up into a trot as she covered the ground and came to see the smoky colored mare. Tilting her head, Rim gave a faint call to the other, her black mane and tail trailing behind her in the wind. Scars lined her body like cross work, most from her time before the islands and some now that she lived here. “G…. Greetings.” She spoke, her voice hoarse and tightly laced with pain like Fell’s. She rarely spoke, but she could not always act upon meeting others with just a nod of her head and a smile.
