Starlight's return had overjoyed the chestnut, but worry still lined the chestnut's features. He still patrolled as often as he could, despite Lionheart joining him and settling in the northwest iqtadar. Too hard did he fight the urge to settle back in with his family: the beautiful women who shared this desert oasis and their children. The unanticipated theft of Starlight had shaken him, and the stallion vied for more allies to bolster and support him, to make any potential enemies reconsider before coming here.
So when an unfamiliar summons came to him on the wind, emotions (curiosity and fear) warred within him. It could be Raegar coming for Starlight after all. After a deep breath to steady himself, the cream-haired male snaked along the valley between two dunes toward the source. He would eventually approach the pair of horses, sandy imprints in his wake. They were on just his side of the border, and, though the primitive side of him wanted to simply run them off, he met them with a cool mask.
The stallion, russett as the desert that stretched around them halted with a curt, acknowledging nod. Curiosity bubbled fiercely within him. This was not Raegar. This was an entirely different stallion, though the scent of Salem came from his pelt all the same. Dark eyes flicker to the evening-dark mare at the blue man's side before he greets them with equal attention. “I believe you called for me? My name is Helios; I'm lord over these lands.”
