For those who knew Swervin Mervyn Mudge.
His son in law, CPL Matt Hopkins, was killed in Afghanistan 16 March 2009 while serving with the Mentoring and Reconstruction Task Force (MRTF).
The Last Post Ceremony on Saturday 16 March is dedicated to Matt and can be viewed via The Australian War Memorial (AWM) YouTube channel dedicated to the Last Post Ceremony (LPC), streamed live each day beginning at 3.30pm, see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cS15mBIb2qs for the link to Matts’ Ceremony.
The MC will be Ms Emily Hyles, AWM C-130 Curator. A wreath will be laid by WGCDR Michael ‘Gus’ Garside, RAAF Representative at the AWM, paying respect to not only Matt but his late father in law, former C-130H Flight Engineer, Merv Mudge.
