GUIDELINES

- the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
- anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
- adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
- the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
- the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors

EVADNE

may the gods have mercy on my enemies.
because i won't.

H
e is sooo bossy. He think he knows what is best for her, but he doesn't. And he definitely doesn't want her to have ANY fun. He is boring and always warning her away from anything fun. Eva, don't stray. Eva do you want to get lost? Every warning he has ever shouted still rings inside of her head. So how could she EVER forget? To check the shadows for the boogeyman. To look under the rocks for snakes. To always look behind her to insure no one follows her. She wasn't a child.... she is 3 years old. A full grown woman. Well, that is at least what she tells herself.

The tender grasses beneath her hooves are delicious - each bite is an explosion of flavor and sweet on the tongue. These grasses were so much better then the ones she could find in the Thicket. Well, it could also be the fact that they were literally on the other side of the border. What was the saying the grasses is greener on the other side? Or something like that...

Contently she grazes until she has finally greedily filled her belly. A content sigh lingers on her lips, this was the life. No worries. No brother telling her what to do. She definitely could hideaway in this little stretch of grass for hours, maybe even days, she thinks to herself.

With a full belly, she folds her long legs neatly, lays down amongst the wild flowers and beneath the shadows of an ancient oak tree. She then lays her head on a pillow of grass and stares up at the lazy afternoon sky through the branches of the tree. Fluffy white clouds float soundlessly across the vast blue sky. Each began to take their own unique shapes - some looked like bears or unicorns or even a rabbit. Contently she watches the sky until her eyes grow heavy and she falls into a peaceful slumber, with the soft whir of bugs and the chirping of birds as her lullaby.
