The young mare observed Nephilim with rapt attention as he talked about his home. Her eyes flitted to the hint of a smile that flowed across his lips. She knew he'd been living in the Ruins with a mare named Chati and foals. It was a treat to hear him talk about something from before that, and a small part of her hoped that this was a small piece of Nephilim that she would get to keep for herself. The scene flows before her eyes as his voice describes it, even the rock archway rising from the water. Something akin to excitement rushes through her when Nephilim offers to take her there someday to see it with her own eyes.

The brown of her eyes gleams like honey as the sun catches it when she smiles. It was a wide expression of delight. Vervain had just been on the verge of speaking when a whinny interrupts her. Her eyes dart toward the source, startled. It was Castillon. The brindle tries to not let her disappointment show at his arrival and manages to smile genuinely at her brother when touching her nose to his. She can only nod an acknowledgment of Castillon's thanks before he launches into asking Nephilim about the mare, Chati.

It is hard for Vervain to restrain her ears from twisitng or pinning and giving anymore of her disappointment away. Her eyes had gone to the buckskin again, as they often did. Her heart simply leaps when he asks about seeing her before he left the Prairie. The black manages a more restrained smile and nods, though her mannerisms convey her hopefulness. "I'd like that." Her eyes shine brightly as she reaches to him and gently touches the satin skin of her nose to his. Her eyelashes bat twice as her gaze meets his, and then the contact is gone. With a small smile and nod to her brother, Vervain turns and walks back in the direction they had come from.
