Re(10): No What-A-Burger, No Denny's, No Walmart

I noticed you also pulled your punch by not being specific, nor did you volunteer your ideas about how that could be fixed.

There are answers and solutions but in today's world, people who have good answers get jumped for saying the obvious. People who are brave enough to offer suggestions, get called "SmartyPants" and ridiculed. Or worse, get fired by their insecure bosses. Thats one reason why supervisors don't often hire someone with more experience or better ideas. Supervisors can be sooo paranoid, and they should be because supervisors can get stale if they don't get out to see the world and how people do things elsewhere.

Have you noticed that the bitcher(s) say the same things year after year? Have you also noticed they spend decades here doing the same thing, never growing?

Everybody should reread "Animal Farm"-- the lessons about barnyard politics between the animals.

The reasons why things have been going from bad to worse isn't because residents and leadership ARE NOT doing things right--like in Oakland.

Silence implies consent. Why don't you want to add to the discussions? Is it because you have no answers, or are you afraid of calling attention to yourself because you know the other animals will shout you down? I learned after I got out of broadcasting is that managers and owners aren't willing to invest in their people to make them better managers. That's exactly what college teaches but that is wasted on the young because they have no experience in the work world yet. It amazing to me that if we pay for advice with tuition or seminar fees and listen to strangers, we value their suggestions more than what comes from our coworkers, or worse, what comes in from young, new blood.

Why do we in this country assassinate those who are 'just sayin'? Usually people who say "just sayin' know what they're saying arent part of the established brain trust. But they also know that they see possibilities that the brain trust doesn't see. So they say it. And at their own risk because uninvited ideas always raise eyebrows.

To go back to your original question, Governor, I use the word 'culture' as a more gentle word to describe why the murderers always seem to mostly been from the same part of town.

Everyone knows this, we all remember summers on the plaza when the young east side kids scared all the Johnson County shoppers away. You remember, don't you? Why did you even ask?
