A wince took hold of Roamer, but she did not speak out again for a faint while. Her long tail flicked against her hocks before she gave a faint nod, her eyes turning to the water that separated all the islands. Sometimes she did wonder what it would be like if they were all connected as one big landmass that did not have to swim from island to island in order to speak. She would love to walk to the Shore and speak to her friend Amarinora, but she could not and swimming was even more dangerous on her body and she would never hear the end of it if Toland had to come rescue her because she dared jump into the water and head towards Atlantis.
“You can talk to him about anything, miss Halcyon. He's a bit…..” Her voice trailed off as she sighed, her head shaking as she looked down towards her hooves and slowly thought on how to word her next sentence or two. “He's closed off with how I came about.” Cromer was a lovely mother and Roamer adored her, but she had seen the guilt in her sires eyes because of her disability and how it affected her everyday life. “I was born defective and I know you came in after I was born. He has changed from what I have seen and it makes him more closed off. He says Cromer is the best to him, but I know he has a heart big enough to love everyone he opens up with.” Ending her rant there, her ears flick before a chuckle finally leaves her lips.
“You do though Halcyon. That stallion you watched lives on the Shore and he is now under my best friend's dad Nahawi. Nahawi is an ass, but at least he has the best for everyone in his heart if you did wish to go with him to that place.” Roamer had not spoken to Finley while he had been here in the Forest, but she knew that from the long distance she had seen him that he was not a bad stallion. Maybe if Halcyon really wanted she could go where her heart obviously wanted to go?
