On Random posts vs old school handicap method, one way to think about it is what would you do if you owned a fronton?
For me, I would do a combination. If it were a 12 game performance, I would have 8 doubles and 4 singles. The singles games would be games 2,5,8,11. I think a performance should always start and end with doubles. Have Superfectas in games 4 and 9. Game 11 is singles championship and game 12 is doubles championship. Have games 3,7,10 be random posts. All others are old school method….best players in tougher posts. Then you could review the betting patterns. Does more or less money get wagered on the random post games?
For this format, I think a roster of 32 players would be needed. Each player would be scheduled for 5 games a night, 4 doubles and one singles. Essentially 16 early game players and 16 late game players. Replies:
