Standing in the silence of the Forest, Voyager eyed the distant waves that crashed against the beach. His long black tail flickered against his hocks for a few bated breaths until finally he let out a long sigh. He was alone, his home having grown silent with Cromers absence. She was somewhere he could not find, but he had scented her a few times over the past few seasons. He had seen her enough in the fall to rekindle their relationship and create new life, but he had not seen her since then. It left the black stallion searching and lonely, but he did not let that really stop him from his continuous patrolling.


Shifting his large frame, Voyager headed down to the beach with spring birds chirping and hollering behind him. He had spent a long while alone now, unsure of where Halcyon really roamed as well. He had not been there for any of the mares he brought here, the two having been all he could get himself to have with this home. Halcyon was different from Cromer, but he did not let that take away from the mare either. She deserved to be cared for, but he had been slacking so horribly on that small fact that he would not be surprised if she left the Forest all together.


Licking his lips with a sucker punch of a breath, the mammoth of a stallion let his hooves reach the sandy banks of the Forest territory. He could hear voices in the trees, but he did not turn around to face them. His amber eyes faintly gleamed as the sun sent warmth onto his black frame with the wind pulling at his mane. He was searching for something, but the stallion did not know what it was really. His heart was half full and his home was growing increasingly silent with each day that passed. That was why Voyager finally opened his lips and sent out a soft call over the ocean, curious if his friend would be pondering similar things these days.
