I can't seem to get much information on the passing of Mick Ryan, other than he passed away on 21 May 2024. Mick joined the RAAF in 1967 as an ADG, however, due to personal reasons, he was given leave while on recruit training. He subsequently joined Recruit Course 910 in February 1968. Following his ADG training, Mick was posted to 2 Squadron, Vietnam, in October 1968.
In May 1976, Mick completed No 16 Crewman Course and remained with 5 Squadron as an operational crewman. I don't have any information Mick's service life beyond that.
It is understood that Mick had been ill for some time and was in a nursing home in Sydney.
