Switch wasn't entirely sure what to make of the gargantuan mare that approached. She was massive, but her ribs puffed as if she were still winded by a late pregnancy, which couldn't possibly be true given the wobbly-kneed child hovering at her hip. A mystery to be sure, but not one she was particularly interested in solving.

She had a mission, a purpose.

Her muzzle wrinkled at being called ma'am, but she forced her innate hostility to calm slightly, her eyes narrowing at the other mare. She might be nearing two decades old now, but that didn't mean she was ready to be lumped in with other geriatric horses. She was too angry, too wild, to want to lay down her head and die.

"You are still taking recruits, no?" She queried with another squint, lifting her chin toward the lonely Peaks behind her, their cliffs suspiciously absent of watchful mares. "Is Khar'pern still your bossjefa?"

She couldn't claim any great relation to the mare, but Switch at least knew her. And knew that Khar'pern had tried to recruit her, even then. It wasn't much to go off of, but she had to do something, and it was growing painfully more evident that herd life was never going to be for her.
